Hello, all! I missed writing here, which I never thought I would. I have been going through many life transitions that have been occupying much of my energy. The concept of energy has been on my mind lately. I have been trying to look back on the last 20 years of my life to understand myself. For me, I have been attempting to disseminate why certain things happened to me. Am I the root cause of every occurrence or terrible event? I think many would say yes. The best way is to learn from those events and accept them for what they are.
For years, I thought of the life I wanted to create for myself and live into that. Many Law of Attraction speakers say that one should create the feeling in their mind, body, and soul of what they wish to create for themselves. Are these types of techniques viable in the real world? I can only remember the time when I was in college and wanted to work at the greatest financial firm at the time, Goldman Sachs. It didn’t happen instantaneously, as a process had to unfold. I had to jump on other opportunities and create myself in the process.
As I write this, life is unfolding. I am breathing, typing, and many other processes are happening in my body that I am not aware of. They are essentially unconscious. What are some unconscious behaviors, thought patterns, and actions you have been doing? Lately, I have been dwelling on past issues and problems. Now, everyone has problems and issues, as life is bound to happen. The mantra that I say to my wife lately is, “I want to create good problems and issues.” I do my best to pray a few times a week, and I say, “Provide me with the physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial strength to handle life.”
My black-and-white thinking about life has not been a productive way to view myself or the world. Life can sometimes be grey. There is no definite solution as life is ever-changing. As I grow older, I am realizing more and more that adaptability is a skill that is underrated in today’s world. This applies to financial markets as well. The markets are an ever-changing, dynamic entity. The essence of it is uncertainty, as is life.
“To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering.” -Nietzsche
Since we are human, we should create our meaning of “suffering.”
